So today I stopped by my local, friendly Barnes and Noble and picked up a book on MVC. I had previously sworn it off as an evil little beast that I had no time for, but in temporarily postponing my iPhone/Objective-C development goals in lieu of more .Net based education, I figured I should open myself up to this whole MVC deal in case it does actually catch on. Plus, so many people seem obsessed with the new kid on the MS block I figured it couldn't hurt for me to learn my way around it for work.
Beyond that, XNA 3.1 has just recently been released, so now I have even more reason to convince the wife that we need an XBox 360 so I can have it for development reasons. Why, you ask? XNA devs now have access to the XBox avatars, which opens up a whole new world of quirky excitement and entertainment. I've got plans, but don't wanna write too much about them for risk of someone pulling a stealth move on me and banking on the game I want to start working on in the next six or so months.
Last but certainly not least, Telerik is soon going to be rolling out its Q2 release and it should be HUGE! I have to get ramped up on a few things (and learn how to use Camtasia on top of that) so I can help with all the fun Q2 preparations. Here's hoping that all goes well for me... more details on some of what I am going to be working on will be showing up here shortly.
Also, as I mentioned on In Search of Sunrise (my personal blog), I am planning on finally getting Ekator up and functional, after the Q2 release madness I'll put more time into the brainstorming/wireframe process to get a basic layout together, from there it's just a matter of what I want up there and how I want it to look.
That's it for now, time for a little more Syphon Filter before bed.
